Jamaica Partnership - 2005 Vacation Bible School Report

Thursday

The Jamaica VBS Mission Trip team is flying home 24 hours earlier than planned.  Hurricane Emily is threatening Jamaica once again.  Pray for safe travel for our team and for our friends in Jamaica as yet another storm comes their way.

Sunday

Dear Chancellor Family,

What a wonderful day God has made!  The storm is gone, and the sun is shining again here in Jamaica .  The team attended services this morning at Gregory Park and Glade.  The new building is fabulous!  It was good to see familiar faces.  All of the children asked about Ms. Heidi, Ms Janet, Ms Kaitlin, Mr. Mike and Ms. Darlene and send their greetings.  Tonight is the first Crusade meeting.  Continue to pray for Pastor Joel as he preaches and the VBS team as we start tomorrow.

God Bless,

Hilary

Tuesday

Dear Chancellor Family,

A special thanks to CBC VBS.  The children played today with the playground balls and colored Frisbees.  Laughter could be heard from every corner of Glade.  We rejoiced in the Lord that we could be there with them to teach and to play.

VBS is going well.  The children are coming out in greater numbers, and everyone is hectically keeping up with them.

The Crusade is also going well.  Rev. Joel is inspiring the hearts of the Christians present and challenging the non-believers.  When he preaches the entire community can hear him.

Continue to pray for our success here.

Peace to all,

The VBS Team
